Jimmy Gauld has been a financial advisor at SA Stone Wealth Management in the Birmingham, Alabama office since 2022. He began his career in the financial industry in 1995 as a financial advisor for VALIC located in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1997, Jimmy took the role of District Manager for VALIC and became the Principal for the Mississippi firm managing 24 financial advisors throughout the state. In 2005, Jimmy relocated to Birmingham, Alabama to manage the Alabama firm. In 2008, Jimmy was promoted to Vice President of Relationship Management and Business Development for the Southeast. In this role, Jimmy managed all aspects of defined contribution plans for approximately 20 plan sponsor clients of VALIC (now Corebridge Financial) with approximately $3.4 billion in assets until 2022.
Jimmy graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He holds a FINRA series 6, 7, 24, 26, 63, 65, and 51 license as well as the Alabama Life, Health, and Variable Annuity license. Jimmy is a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®), Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF™). Jimmy enjoys playing music, golf, and hunting. He is married to Anne and has two sons.
