After growing up in Birmingham, Ernest started his career in January of 1984 in financial services with The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC) helping individuals manage their investments for retirement. He also had the role of District Manager and Regional Vice President of the Southern Region out of Atlanta Georgia. In 2006 he was promoted to Senior Vice President at AIG-VALIC over National Markets, Group Relationships, and Independent Distribution till his departure. He also held the position of National Head of Sales for the Tax-Exempt Markets at Voya. In 2016, Ernest returned to Birmingham and opened STONE financial group. A firm he has grown to over $350,000,000 in assets with 6 advisors operating in over 12 states.
 
Ernest has also authored several financial and investment publications. One of which “The Educators Income Tax Guide” was distributed nationally. Ernest is deeply committed to helping clients set and achieve their financial goals. As a fiduciary, he takes his duty seriously, always prioritizing his clients’ best interests. He understands that every client is unique, and he is dedicated to creating personalized plans that reflect each client’s individual goals and risk tolerance. 
 
Ernest Education includes a BBA in Management from Faulkner University complimented with the following professional designations, Certified Fund Specialist, Certified Income Specialist, Certified Annuity Specialist, Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Registered Financial Consultant. He also holds an impressive array of licenses, including Series 6, Series 7, Series 51, Series 26, Series 24, Series 65, Series 63 and a resident Alabama Life, Health and Variable Annuity License along with non-resident Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and West Virginia licenses.
 
Ernest and his wife Mary reside in Vestavia and have 4 children. When he's not working , Ernest enjoys golf, hunting and fishing. He spent numerous years actively supporting several charities, particularly his time spent on the board of The Professional Association of Georgia Educators Foundation and supporting Public Education.
